The Junior Engagement Program
How is JEEP different from the other formation programs of

engage with the people from various sectors and communities by stepping into
their shoes and experiencing their way of life.

You can only enlist in an area assigned to your Philosophy/
Marketing teacher and/or course.
If you are a part of the Service-Learning (SL)/
Discipline-Based (DB) batch, you will be asked to enlist in the corresponding
area of your course. The formator who coordinates with your department will let
you know of specific arrangements for your course/discipline and how to enlist.
Note that in some cases, a formator will assign you to your
area based on your SLDB requirements and schedule.

the enlistment period is over, the website will automatically close
and any changes will not be accepted anymore.

If all JEEP areas are in conflict with your academic schedule,
click “All JEEP Areas are conflicting with my schedule”.
You will be recorded as “CONFLICT” in your current JEEP
enlistment. You will not be able to enlist/delist anymore. Only OSCI can delist
you from your conflict status.
Proceed to OSCI and provide a hard copy of your AISIS class
schedule (with your name and contact details) within the day or the day
after your enlistment schedule. Deadline of submission of AISIS class schedule
is on SEPTEMBER 3, 2018 (Monday, 12nn).

before SEPTEMBER 3, 2018 (Monday, 12nn). Names of
students who did not bother to approach OSCI will be marked INCOMPLETE in JEEP.

security reasons?

Area Orientation (AO)
What should I wear during area orientation?
White shirt (no Ateneo shirt), maong pants, rubber shoes. Some

inform students if this is the case.
If a student does not war the proper AO uniform, he or she
will automatically be left behind.
What if I miss the area orientation?
Student will still be accommodated given that there are
available chances for make-up area orientation. Those who miss the last chance for make-up AO will
not be accommodated. Note that some areas do not offer make-up AOs.
What should I bring during the area orientation?
Documents and/or fees required by the area (if there are any)
such as bio-data with picture, 1x1 picture, etc. Take note that these are area
requirements and are different from the documents required by OSCI.
What if I failed to bring those requirements?
All requirements should still be submitted, penalty will be
given to those who will fail to comply.

You will be automatically left behind. Note that the area
orientation is required before proceeding with the area engagement and some

Area Engagement
How many hours are we required to complete?
JEEP requires 16 hours of area engagement. Though some SLDB
courses may have different models and different required number of hours.

These will depend on the institution. Take note of the details
stated in the JEEP blogspot and verify these during your area

The formators will teach you how to commute during your area
orientation. You may go directly to the area come your shift. You are highly
encouraged to commute going to and from the area.
What will I do if I am absent due to academic concerns and
sickness?
You may make-up for your absence during the buffer week, given
that you submitted the following:
For an academic-related absence (e.g. long test, make-up class), an
excuse letter noted by the concerned professor at least two
(2) days BEFORE the scheduled duty day.
For absence due to sickness or death in the family, an excuse letter (supported with necessary
documents: medical certificate, etc.) at most two (2) days AFTER you
come back to school.
What if I already have more than one absence?
If your reason is valid, approach your OSCI formator with your
excuse letter and supporting documents (e.g. medical certificate). Wait for the
approval of your OSCI formator before going back to the area.
If you have invalid reasons, you will not be accommodated
anymore and will be given an INC for JEEP.
What if my area engagement falls on a holiday?
HOLIDAYS should be observed. Exception will be granted only when the
schedule does not permit students to make up for the
loss in time and only when the students, formator and area
supervisor/monitor agree on this arrangement.
What if I arrive late during my area engagement?
You should make-up for the lost time (i.e. coming in at 5
minutes past one’s time shift will entail leaving the area 5 minutes
past one’s time).
In the event that the area is locked into a strict schedule,
you will be marked absent and should make-up for your
absence during the buffer week.
What if failed to wear the prescribed uniform?
